Take a New Direction

Welcome to Day 85 of your 90-day journey to finding love.

Today we’re going to do something simple, but incredibly powerful.

Change your direction.

Sometimes we move through life on autopilot. We drive the same roads, visit the same restaurants, go to the same places, and follow the same routines every day.

While routines can be comfortable, they can also limit the opportunities we have to experience something new.

And when it comes to meeting people and creating new possibilities in life, new experiences often lead to new connections.

Today’s challenge is about flipping your perspective.

Instead of going somewhere familiar, choose a completely different direction.

If you normally drive down one street to reach your favorite restaurant, try going the opposite way and see what you discover.

If you usually travel 15 minutes in one direction for errands or activities, spend 15 minutes going the opposite direction and explore what you find.

Walk down a street you’ve never walked before.
Visit a café you’ve never noticed.
Explore a park or shop that isn’t part of your normal routine.

The purpose of this exercise isn’t necessarily about finding the perfect place.

It’s about opening your awareness to new possibilities.

Ask yourself:

• What did you notice that you hadn’t seen before?
  • Did anything surprise you?
  • Did the experience make you feel curious or inspired?

Sometimes people explore a new street and discover an entire part of their community they never realized existed.

Other times, they take a new route and realize they had been passing incredible places without ever noticing them.

The same thing happens in relationships.

When we change our perspective and allow ourselves to explore new possibilities, we create opportunities to discover people and experiences we might have missed before.

So today, take the adventure.

Open your eyes.
Open your heart.
And see what new possibilities are waiting in a direction you’ve never explored.
