About this lesson

Welcome to Day 82 of your 90-day journey to finding love.

Today’s reflection focuses on something that can make a tremendous difference in your dating success and relationship satisfaction:

Clarity.

Sometimes people move through dating with only a vague idea of what they want in a partner. Other times, people create extremely rigid rules that unintentionally limit their opportunities to meet someone wonderful.

Today we are going to explore the balance between those two.

Start by asking yourself a very simple question:

What do you really want in a relationship?

What are the first things that come to mind when you imagine your ideal partnership?

Take a moment and write down the three most important qualities you want in a relationship. These are your non-negotiables — the qualities that truly matter to you when building a meaningful connection with someone.

Next, reflect on something many people experience as they grow in their dating journey.

Over time, we often realize that some of the “rules” we once believed were necessary might not actually serve us anymore.

Think about three rules you used to have about dating or relationships that you have learned to let go of.

Perhaps they were too rigid, too specific, or based on assumptions that limited your opportunities to connect with someone new.

Personal growth often means learning when to adjust our expectations so we can stay open to the right person.

Finally, consider something that may still be missing from your past relationships.

What are three things you’ve always hoped to experience in a relationship but haven’t quite found yet?

Maybe it’s a partner who is more affectionate.
Maybe it’s someone who shares your sense of adventure.
Maybe it’s someone who communicates openly and consistently.

These reflections help bring clarity to your desires.

And when you become clear about what truly matters to you, it becomes easier to recognize the right person when they enter your life.

In fact, that person may already be closer than you think.
