How Would Others Describe You?
Discover how others may see you and gain new insights about the energy and personality you bring to relationships.
About this lesson
Welcome to Day 63 of your 90-day journey to finding love.
Today we’re exploring an interesting perspective exercise that can reveal powerful insights about yourself.
The question is simple:
How would other people describe you?
Most of us think we know how we come across to others, but sometimes it can be difficult to step outside our own perspective.
Imagine you’re sitting across the table from a close friend. Now imagine switching seats and listening to them describe you to someone else.
What would they say?
Would they describe you as someone who lights up the room when you walk in?
Would they say you’re thoughtful and understanding?
Do you bring positive energy to conversations?
Or perhaps they might notice areas where you sometimes struggle — maybe you get discouraged easily, worry too much, or need reassurance.
This exercise isn’t about criticism. It’s about gaining awareness.
Sometimes the way others experience us can help reveal small areas where we can grow and become even better partners, friends, and companions.
There are many moments where people recognize new things about themselves simply by seeing their own behavior reflected in others.
In fact, sometimes meeting someone with very similar traits can help us realize habits or patterns we may want to improve.
Today’s exercise is about honesty, self-awareness, and appreciation.
Take time to write a short description of yourself from the perspective of someone who knows you well.
Then reflect on what you notice.
You might discover things you want to improve — but you’ll also likely be reminded of the many qualities that make people enjoy spending time with you.
And the more clearly you see your own value, the more confidently you’ll share that with others.
